Pauperfeszt TEAM TRIO
March 6 @ 18:00 - 22:00

Nevezési díj: 7500 Ft
Rule Level: Regular
Format: Pauper - Team Trio
The essence of Magic: The Gathering Team Trio (or Team Trios) events is that teams of three compete against each other. Although players play individual matches, their results count toward the team score, and teammates are allowed to help each other.
1. Basic Structure
Team Lineup: Each team consists of 3 players, designated as players A, B, and C.
Seating: Teams sit opposite each other (A vs. A, B vs. B, C vs. C). The seating order must be fixed at the start of the tournament and cannot be changed during the event.
Victory: A team wins a round if at least two of its players win their individual matches. (Thus, a 2-1 or 3-0 victory both count as 1 team win).
2. Communication and Assistance
This is the most unique part of the format:
Consultation: Teammates may talk to each other during the game. They can discuss complex board states, assist in decision-making (mulligans, blocking, sequencing), and look at each other’s hands.
Time Limit: Despite the consultation, the round time (usually 50 minutes) is the same as in individual tournaments. If a team talks too much and fails to maintain a reasonable pace, judges may issue a Slow Play penalty.
Finished Players: If a player finishes their match, they may sit with their teammates and assist them while the remaining matches are ongoing.
3. Additional Rules
There is a maximum limit of 4 cards in team members’ decks. So, for example, if player A already has 4 lightning bolts in their deck, players B and C cannot add any more to their decks.
Prizes: The winning team receives a first-round BYE at the Pauperfeszt main event.
