Pauperfest TEAM TRIO
June 26 @ 18:00 - 22:00

Nevezési díj: 7500 Ft
Rule Level: Competitive
Format: Pauper
Magic: The Gathering Team Trio (or Team Trios) events are all about teams of three battling it out. Although players play individual matches, their results count collectively and team members can help each other out.
Here are the most important rules and things to know:
1. Basic structure
Team formation: each team consists of 3 players, called A, B and C.
Seating: teams will be seated opposite each other (A against A, B against B, C against C). The seating order must be fixed at the start of the competition and cannot be changed until the end of the event.
Victory: a round is won by the team with at least two players winning their individual match (so a 2-1 or 3-0 win is also a team win).
2. Communication and assistance
This is the most special part of the format:
Consultation: team members can talk to each other during the game. They can discuss more complex table situations, help with decision making (mulligan, blocking, sequencing), and look at each other’s cards.
Time limit: Despite the consultation, the lap time (usually 50 minutes) is the same as in individual races. If the team talks too much and does not make progress, the referee may give a Slow Play penalty.
Eliminated player: if a player has finished his own match, he can sit next to his teammates to help out while the rest of the matches are going on.
3. Other additions
No more than one person can have the same card in a team member’s deck other than basic lands. So for example, if player A has 1-4 lightning shops in his deck, then players B and C can’t put them in his deck.
The winning team will receive a first round BYE at the main Pauperfest event.
